Audience Enrichment: Stage Door at ASC
Stage Door at ASC offers a variety of audience enrichment programs to enhance your enjoyment of Shakespeare and other great playwrights. Through Stage Door, ASC audiences may engage and explore the plays and productions with several of ASC Resident Artists. Programs include:
Bard Banter
Thirty minutes prior to performances, join an ASC Resident Artist in the lobby of the West Side Theater for a short discussion about the play and production. Learn about the themes and questions posed by the play, the particular voice of the production you are about to see, and other insights into historical context, scholarship and interpretive choices. No reservations necessary. Just meet us in the lobby at one half hour before curtain and join the discussion.
Talkbacks
At select matinee performances, hang out after curtain call in the theater to engage in a lively discussion with ASC’s actors as they take your questions about the play and the production, and share their insights and experiences.
Workshops
During the New Jersey Theatre Alliance-sponsored Stages Festival, join ASC Resident Artists for free workshops in stage combat. Call 201-200-2390 for more information.
Patron’s Choice: if you have a group of 10 or more and would like to take a workshop in stage combat, acting, Shakespearean text work, or Renaissance dancing, call 201-200-2390 for options and pricing.
